Dubai
Explore study options in Dubai and compare the course, campus, accommodation and full budget before making a commitment.
Dubai is one city within the United Arab Emirates. Your experience will depend on the institution and programme you choose, the immigration route available to you and the neighbourhood where you live. Start with those details rather than assuming that every course includes the same services or permissions.

Compare English courses, professional study and university programmes by the skills they teach and the qualification they award. Ask about class size, timetable, entry requirements and how progress is assessed. A general English course and a university degree require different preparation.
Check the exact provider, campus and course. Dubai has international institutions and a wide range of educational settings; a familiar name alone is not enough to decide. Ask about recognition, study format and the support available to international students.
The UAE government describes student residence routes that can involve sponsorship by a qualifying resident parent or educational institution. Confirm which route applies to your actual programme and circumstances. Do not assume that a short language course has the same sponsorship arrangements as a university degree.
Ask the provider which immigration steps it supports and which documents, health checks, insurance or local registration are relevant. Request the total cost and timing in writing. Admission and immigration approval are separate decisions.
Ask about the permission required for any work, placement or internship you are considering. A study booking alone should never be treated as proof that you can take a job. Check the relevant UAE authority and the conditions of your own status before starting.
Prepare a study budget that does not rely on an immediate job. If a course includes a practical component, confirm whether it is part of the curriculum, who organises it and what authorisation is needed. A general promise of “work opportunities” is not a job offer.
Ask for tuition, enrolment charges, materials, examinations and any administration services as separate items. Add insurance, immigration-related costs where applicable, flights, airport travel and the first accommodation payment.
For daily life, compare rent, utilities, internet, food and transport. If you are shown a package, ask exactly which meals, transfers or housing services are included. Check deposits, cancellation terms and the conditions for moving accommodation.
Keep an arrival reserve and allow for currency exchange and transfer charges. Compare the full study period, including non-teaching weeks, rather than multiplying an attractive weekly course rate without checking the rest.
Choose housing around the actual campus address and timetable. Dubai’s scale means that two locations described as being “in Dubai” can produce very different daily journeys. Map the full trip, including walking and any bus connection, rather than only the nearest metro station.
Compare the routine you want outside class: food shopping, a place to exercise, time with classmates and evening transport. A famous neighbourhood is not necessarily the most convenient or affordable base for your course.
Ask whether you are booking a private room, shared room, residence or homestay-style arrangement, and how many people share the facilities. Confirm the address, air conditioning, internet, bills and any visitor or building rules.
Verify the provider and payment instructions before transferring a deposit. Save the agreement and receipts. If temporary accommodation gives you more flexibility at the start, include the cost of moving and searching for a longer arrangement in your budget.
Think about the season of arrival and how you will get between air-conditioned indoor spaces and outdoor transport. A route that looks short on a map may not be the route you want to walk every day. Ask the institution for practical arrival and campus guidance.
Learn the local rules and customs relevant to your stay, including the expectations in public places, accommodation and the institution. Keep your travel and immigration documents accessible. Use official guidance when a question concerns legal obligations rather than relying on social-media anecdotes.
Start with your current education, language level, available budget and preferred start date. A useful shortlist contains a small number of courses you can explain and afford, with the actual campus and timetable attached. Ask for written answers when two offers appear to include different services.
Keep academic admission and immigration approval as separate steps. An institution can offer you a place without deciding your visa application. Give yourself room for language tests, translations, document requests and a change of intake. Avoid committing to non-refundable travel before you understand the conditions of your application.
Tell us what you want to learn, what you have studied before and how much you can allocate to the whole experience. We help you compare study options and organise the next steps with the institution. Ask your guide which services are included in your proposal, which are provided by a third party and which need a separate payment.
Support should make your decisions clearer. Request a complete quote, a payment calendar and an explanation of the documents you need. Neither admission, employment nor an immigration outcome should be treated as guaranteed. If your question requires individual immigration advice, use an appropriately authorised professional.
Use the country guide to build your overall plan and the city guides to compare everyday life. When you contact us, include your preferred language, intended course, approximate dates and budget. You do not need to have chosen everything before starting the conversation.
Compare providers that offer the type and level of English you need. Confirm the campus, timetable, course recognition and immigration arrangements for your situation.
Not automatically. Ask which sponsorship route applies, what the provider handles and which costs and requirements are separate.
Do not assume so. Verify the required employment permission and your own conditions before accepting work or an internship.
Prepare the local budget in UAE dirhams, then account for exchange rates and transfer costs in your home currency.
Check the entire trip to the actual campus, including walking and connections. The nearest station alone does not establish the most practical commute.
